Adventure Tour 2012

The All-New 2012
Adventure Tour
is designed to maximize usage of our
unique Underground Classroom.
Students will work at a fossil dig,
carefully uncovering and identifying
different fossils. They will answer
questions about the animal’s history
of survival and demise. The same
questions apply to living cave
creatures, so the second step is to
follow the boardwalk trail into a
non-toured part of the cave. The
students are equipped with lanterns
to find their way to a “window” in
the floor where they’ll have the
opportunity to catch a glimpse of a
cave crayfish or maybe even a blind
cavefish.
Plus, it all
take place in the cave's Underground
Classroom where it's always a warm 60
degrees regardless of the weather
outside. Adventure Tour 2012
includes the all-riding
tour of the caverns.
Adventure Tour 2012 is a
special, 90-minute,
"touchable" educational
experience designed for students in
grades 1-8. Students are
encouraged to wear "after school" clothes.
All activities take place inside the
caverns where it's always a Warm 60°.
This 90-minute program is available
at 10:00 am & 12:00 noon DAILY
from Jan. 1 through March 31.
